Stancliffe Homes Awarded HBF 5-Star Rating for 2026
We’re proud to share that Stancliffe Homes has been awarded a 5-Star Rating by the Home Builders Federation (HBF) for 2026.
This is one of the highest recognitions in the UK housebuilding industry, but more importantly, it’s one that is based entirely on the voices of our customers.
What the HBF 5-Star Rating Means
The HBF Star Rating is drawn from the National New Homes Customer Satisfaction Survey, an independent industry benchmark that has been running for over 20 years.
Each year, thousands of new build homeowners are asked about their experience, from the quality of their home to the service they receive after moving in.
To ensure the feedback reflects the full customer journey, responses are gathered at two key stages:
8 weeks after moving in
9 months after moving in
This matters because a home isn’t judged on first impressions alone. It’s about how it performs over time, how it feels to live in, and how well it continues to meet expectations months after the keys are handed over.
How the Rating is Calculated
The 5-star rating is awarded based on customer responses to two core areas:
Satisfaction with the quality of their home
Satisfaction with the service provided after moving in
These are measured across both the 8-week and 9-month surveys, creating four scores in total. These are then averaged to produce an overall rating.
It’s a high bar to achieve a 5-star rating for the 2024/25 survey year (announced in March 2026), and one that continues to rise as the industry pushes for higher standards.
Why This Matters
For us, this recognition isn’t about a badge or a headline.
It’s about consistency.
It reflects the work our team puts in across every stage of the journey, from design and build quality, through to aftercare and long-term customer support.
Because what matters most isn’t just how a home looks on the day you move in, it’s how it lives.
The details that make day-to-day living easier
The performance of the home over time
The confidence that support is there when it’s needed
That’s what our customers are responding to.
A Standard We Continue to Build On
Achieving a 5-star rating is something we’re incredibly proud of, but it’s not a finish line.
It’s a benchmark.
One that reinforces the importance of getting the details right, not just during construction, but long after our customers have settled into their homes.
As expectations evolve and standards rise across the industry, so will our commitment to improving what we do.
Because ultimately, we’re not just building homes.
We’re building places people live in, grow in, and rely on every day.
