The Acorns was a development of beautiful homes, full of the charm and character you don’t always expect from a new build.
The Acorns was a collection of 30 high-quality 3 and 4 bedroom homes, designed with practical living spaces that suited everyday life.
From the choice of materials to the internal finishes, attention to detail was evident throughout, elevating everyday living beyond the expected standard. The development was intentionally limited in scale – large enough to feel established, yet small enough to foster a close-knit, community feel and a more personal neighbourhood environment. As always, each home was finished to a high specification throughout.
Rather than following a repeated formula, Stancliffe placed emphasis on individuality, with character-led design, varied streetscapes and homes that felt distinct.
Set within a quieter, semi-rural location, The Acorns offered a balance of privacy and connection. Its considered layout created a natural flow through the development, resulting in a neighbourhood that felt well-crafted and designed for long-term living.
Forest Town, where town meets countryside.
A setting that offered breathing space without stepping too far away
Set on the outskirts of Mansfield, Forest Town offered a quieter, semi-rural backdrop while keeping everyday life within easy reach. Residents of The Acorns benefited from access to nearby natural spaces including Maun Valley Park, ideal for walking and outdoor time, as well as Spa Ponds and Rushpool Open Space – areas supported by local conservation efforts to protect and enhance the surrounding environment.
The wider area also offered a wealth of well-known destinations. Sherwood Forest National Nature Reserve, home to the legendary Major Oak, was just a short drive away, alongside Rufford Abbey Country Park with its historic ruins and parkland. Mansfield itself provided a mix of culture and leisure, including Mansfield Museum, the Palace Theatre and one of the UK’s oldest markets.
It was this balance of countryside, heritage and accessibility that made The Acorns such a natural fit, offering open surroundings to enjoy alongside convenient connections to nearby towns.
