About the development

At Oak Tree Park, new homes and bungalows came together to form a settled neighbourhood within Shireoaks.

Where scale never came at the expense of character.

Oak Tree Park delivered a broad collection of homes without losing the individuality that defines a Stancliffe development. While larger in scale, the same principles applied throughout – open layouts, well-balanced living spaces and a high-quality specification that supported modern day living.

Each home was designed with care, from internal flow to external appearance, creating a streetscape that felt cohesive yet varied. Materials, detailing and positioning were all considered to ensure the development felt settled and integrated, rather than uniform.

The inclusion of bungalows alongside family homes added to the diversity of the development, supporting a wider range of buyers.

The result was a flagship neighbourhood – a settled community where people were proud to call home, supported by high-quality homes designed with the future in mind.

The Location

The everyday appeal of life in
Shireoaks.

Oak Tree Park was set within the well-established village of Shireoaks, on the outskirts of Worksop and positioned on the border of South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire.

Shireoaks offered residents at Oak Tree Park a setting that balanced rural character with everyday convenience. Positioned to the west of Worksop, the village has long been recognised for its proximity to the Chesterfield Canal and Shireoaks Marina, where waterside walks and open countryside form a part of daily life. This landscape, shaped by towpaths, woodland edges and quieter residential streets, created an environment that felt unique and calm.

Still, the location remained well connected. Shireoaks railway station provided direct services to Sheffield, Retford and Lincoln, while the A57 offered straightforward access to the A1 and M1. For residents, this meant the ability to commute or travel with ease but could still return home to a more village-led setting. Landmarks such as the marina, the Station Hotel and the nearby Cuckoo Way trail contributed to a more peaceful way of living for residents, where time outdoors and a slower daily rhythm became part of everyday life.

Amenities

Shireoaks provided a range of everyday essentials within the village itself, including a convenience store, community facilities and local dining options such as the Station Hotel. For a wider choice, residents benefited from close proximity to Worksop town centre and Gateford, where supermarkets, independent shops, healthcare services and leisure amenities are readily available. This ensured that both daily needs were well supported.

Schools

Families at Oak Tree Park benefited from access to local education within easy reach. St Luke’s C of E Primary School, located in the heart of Shireoaks, served the village community, while nearby Worksop offered additional primary provision including Whipman Woods Flying High Academy. For secondary education, Outwood Academy Valley, Outwood Academy Portland and Shire Oak Academy provided established options within a short distance.

Transport

The development was particularly well placed for travel. Shireoaks railway station offered convenient connections to Sheffield and surrounding towns, supporting both commuting and leisure journeys. By road, the A57 linked directly to the A1 and M1, allowing efficient access across Nottinghamshire, South Yorkshire and beyond. Walking and cycling routes, including the Cuckoo Way along the Chesterfield Canal, further enhanced local connectivity.
